The MPN Network Podcast: Jax River Jams 2022

The city of Jacksonville, Florida safely came out of their houses to see Boyz II Men in concert! On Thursday, April 14th, 2022, the green spot, known for where The Jacksonville Landing once stood, was FULL of people to experience a free concert. The openers were The MPN Network’s own Mr. Al Pete and mega band The Katz Downstairz. iHeart Media personalities Shaunee Jones and Eazy E were the hosts.

Pete took to the stage at 5:30pm with a Hip Hop performance, performing notable songs from his discography: “The Truth”, “The Golden Life”, and a duo song with LRKChronicle “Simple As That”. Pete completed his show with a DJ set, and had the crowd warmed up for the next act.

The Katz Downstairz set the stage on fire with their singers, instrumentation, and showmanship. The crowd had increased tremendously while they were rocking, which made for a great scene. The Katz took the audience down memory lane with performing songs from the Hip Hop and Soul era.

Finally, Boyz II Men graced the stage and reminded everyone that their catalog of music is timeless. They had the crowd singing their hits “Motownphilly”, “On Bended Knees”, “One Sweet Day”, and of course the classic “I’ll Make Love To You”! While performing that song, roses started flying out and the audience caught each one.
It was a memorable night for Jacksonville, Florida! The Jax River Jams staff and sponsors did a great job with this series (which occurs every Thursday in April).
