So…remember the ‘Picture Perfect’ series we did some moons ago? If not, or you need a reminder, begin HERE. With that, we’ve been wanting to do various series on some of the creators that exist in Jacksonville, Florida. One of the hubs we wanted to cover is the arts (painting, to be specific…and please forgive if we didn’t title this correctly, but trust us…we respect and honor this form of work).

We introduce our first attempt at honoring this sector with artist PJ Darrell. PJ is the silent introspective guy that has a clear insight on his paintings. The topics that he illustrates are relative to his thinking of past and current issues and culture influences. His work is a positive stimulant. A sense of joy, with a revolutionary response. Honorary, indeed.

The MPN staff felt it would be cool to break up his latest project ‘VII’, an ‘art album’, into a…seven…day experience. Starting today, we’ll be posting one of his creations and he’ll give his words on what the artwork represents. With art, its good to observe and find the appreciation for it…so presenting on this daily will help (vision yourself at an art gallery…pausing at each artwork…). We’ll also ask him a random question…to bring some fun to the posts.

Enjoy the week-long art show and congratulations to PJ for putting a creative ‘album’ together. #TOTHETOP certified.
