To close out an amazing Black Music Month, the SQ3 have the enormous pleasure to speak with Ms. Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey! She shared with us how her love for music provided a safe space that continued to be a presence in her life and the lives of her children. She also stressed the importance of service and education throughout all of her endeavors, and somehow, we were able to get her to confess what Dilla song will get her to dance regardless of where she is!
