At the MPN Network, we acknowledge and STAND with the fight for racial equality. During this time of reflection, rage, standstill, and uncertainty, some of The Neighborhood Podcast Network neighbors have decided to use their platforms to speak on the obvious subjects.
Sht Talk No Fragrance’s queen, Hendrix Monae, took the first run at hosting a panel discussion. While figuring out the title of the discussion, she came up with ‘The Skin I’m In’. Her first panel had two male teenagers Aaron and Jeremiah, along with Moses West, Officer Chris Riley, and Mr. Al Pete.
“I thought the title was self-explanatory and empowering,” says Mr. Al Pete. “I asked her if it was cool to convert the title of her show to a series, and she agreed.”
The series will be various conversations with the likes of influencers to the younger generation. They’ll be hosted on the respected [podcast] platforms. They’ll be live streamed through the network, and will be in audio format after the discussion is completed. The overall goal: to get everyone’s voice heard that will create the change needed…by ALL means!
Stay tuned for upcoming discussions on the network. The next one will be this Thursday at 8pm with Mr. Al Pete. If you would like to attend or be a part of the discussions, send an email to mpnmanagement@gmail.com.
We hope this helps with changing the narrative in Jacksonville, Florida, and around the world.
