GeeXella, a Non-Binary, Black/Latinx, rapper, singer, songwriter, and DJ from Jacksonville, Florida, has been actively changing the culture in a way that should be praised. What’s a better way to add to the work: releasing new music!
“My song “We Don't'' is about having an intimate moment with someone without having any sexual intentions,” says GeeXella. “Navigating queerness and sexual experience is such a hard discussion to have with partners. A lot of folx from Black, Latinx, and indigenous cultures experience so much intergenerational sexual trauma, and of course, the reality of rape culture that is uplifted by the patriarchy. “We Don’t” explores the story of true and pure intimacy from a queer ENBY perspective”.
