We start off this episode on a different note, paying tribute to Atlanta icon, Dungeon Family founding member, and 1/3 of the MIGHTY Organized Noize, Rico Wade, who recently passed on April 13th. We then go into "What We Talm Bout," where we get into the disconnect that the Black church has with this current movement for Black lives and how can we reconnect an institution that was once the epicenter of Black Liberation.
We then get in depth with Rep. Rayner, as we discuss her involvement in the trial and movement surrounding the killing of Markeis McGlocktin, which brings us to the decision in 2020 to run for Florida State House. We also discuss how the unconstitutional map drawing from Ron DeSantis in 2022 directly affected her run for US Congress. And we also get into her work with the National Black Justice Coalition and her friendship with the amazing Dr. David Johns.
